David Weaver Chief Executive Officer (C.Eng, FEI, MIPE, MINucE, MIE (Aus)

Mr Weaver has in excess of 30 years experience in the Energy Industry Worldwide. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and Australia, Fellow of the Energy Institute, incorporated by Royal Charter in the United Kingdom and founder Member of the Institute of Petroleum Engineers. He is a Professional Electrical, Mechanical and Nuclear Engineer and Senior Energy Professional. He was accredited by the UK Nuclear Installations Inspectorate. He was sponsored through College by the United Kingdom Central Electricity Generating Board, and attended business school in the UK and Harvard USA.

After many successful years in the energy industry, Mr Weaver has now turned his attention renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors, in which fields he has become a recognised authority. Since leaving BP he has been Chairman and board member of several leading companies including London stock exchange main listed.

He also advises banks, governments and investment funds in various countries including Europe, Asia, USA and Middle East. He has had many years of experience in successfully structuring, financing and public listing of companies in the Energy Sector. Regular Chairman of many prominent summits and conferences. He makes regular appearances on Television and radio as an industry expert.

Robert Parker, Chief Financial Officer

Robert, a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer, enjoys the entrepreneurial spirit within businesses and is experienced in both the strategic and operational development of international and UK companies. A track record of fundraising in private and public sectors. 

Prior positions include Finance Director of Immedia Broadcasting PLC – an AIM listed business and leading provider of live, in-store radio. CFO of Manquehue (Minority Holding of National Grid), a Chilean based telecoms provider.

Dr Steven M Martin, Research Director

Previously Head of Fermentation at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, responsible for the UK pilot plant and the fermentation activities at two manufacturing sites in Italy. Joined TMO in 2005. Directly responsible for proprietary research programmes, managing the process biotechnology, fermentation and analytical groups. Also responsible for scaling up TMO’s fermentation process to manufacturing scale.

Has more than 15 years’ industrial experience in microbial fermentation and written more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers.

Jason Robinson, Assistant Director of Engineering

Wide variety of industrial experience, specifically in the area of renewable fuels such as biodiesel and ethanol which was initiated from his extensive experience in the pulp & paper industry.

Prior to his work at TMO (where he has designed and built the UK’s first lignocellulosic ethanol demonstration facility) he led and participated in several projects specific to lignocellulosic ethanol production in both Europe and the US – namely pilot and demonstration facilities, designing pre-treatment, enzyme hydrolysis and fermentation systems.

Gaye Bramwell, Head of Administration

Gaye Bramwell, our Head of Administration has been with the company since inception in 2002. She works closely with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors to assist with the day-to-day running of the business.
