Anglo-Brazilian Joint Venture to launch first 2G Commercial Cellulosic Ethanol Production Plant

11 April 2013, Guildford (UK). TMO Renewables (TMO), the leading British developer of second generation biofuels technology,  and Usina Santa Maria Ltda have entered into an agreement to form a joint venture to build the first commercial production plant in Brazil to convert sugar cane waste (bagasse) to cellulosic bioethanol.

TMO signs LOI with Usina Santa Maria Cerquilho for 25-year feedstock supply agreement for an initial 10 million litre per annum second generation ethanol facility

Usina Santa Maria Cerquilho is an associate of Copasucar, the largest Brazilian sugar and ethanol commercialization operation with integrated production.

Prime Minister of Latvia takes time out from attending the Olympic Games to visit TMO

Surrey, UNITED KINGDOM – August 8, 2012 –The Prime Minister of Latvia, Valdis Dombrovskis, took time out of his busy schedule to visit TMO’s ethanol process plant at Dunsfold in Surrey on 8 August 2012.

The purpose of the visit was to showcase TMO’s integrated process for converting various types of waste material including MSW (Common household garbage) derived biomass into high value energy products, particularly ethanol. The company headquartered in Guildford has been working closely with government entities in China, Brazil, Russia and India. TMO is now cooperating with Greenworld Fuels ltd, a UK company with a waste pre treatment process technology which converts MSW into biomass.
