Leadership Team
David Weaver, Chief Executive Officer C.Eng, FEI, MIPE, MINucE, MIE (Aus)
Mr Weaver has in excess of 30 years experience in the Energy Industry Worldwide. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and Australia, Fellow of the Energy Institute, incorporated by Royal Charter in the United Kingdom and founder Member of the Institute of Petroleum Engineers. He is a Professional Electrical, Mechanical and Nuclear Engineer and Senior Energy Professional. He was accredited by the UK Nuclear Installations Inspectorate. He was sponsored through College by the United Kingdom Central Electricity Generating Board, and attended business school in the UK and Harvard USA.
After many successful years in the energy industry, Mr Weaver has now turned his attention to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors, in which fields he has become a recognised authority. Since leaving BP he has been Chairman and board member of several leading companies including London stock exchange main listed.
He also advises banks, governments and investment funds in various countries including Europe, Asia, USA and Middle East. He has had many years of experience in successfully structuring, financing and public listing of companies in the Energy Sector. Regular Chairman of many prominent summits and conferences. He makes regular appearances on Television and radio as an industry expert.
Paul Bennett, Chief Technical Officer
Paul Bennett has a background in technology and commercial development of a range of automotive fuels related projects/business. He spent 23 years with BP, more latterly focusing mainly on clean fuels and biofuels. Within BP he has held roles including Technology Manager, Policy Advisor, Strategy Development and Business Development Manager. His last role at BP was as General Manager of BP’s Asia/Pacific Biofuels Business.
In 2009, he set up an independent bioenergy consultancy and worked on a variety of technology and commercial projects including algae biomass, biofuels, anaerobic digestion, biomass combustion.
In 2011, he joined the Energy Technologies Institute to lead the Bioenergy Technology Strategy. The Project portfolio includes projects ranging from Knowledge Generation to large scale Technology demonstration.

Gaye Bramwell, Head of Administration
Gaye Bramwell, our Head of Administration has been with the company since inception in 2002. She works closely with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors to assist with the day-to-day running of the business.

Ian Tebble, Head of Science and Technology
With over 25 years’ experience in Industrial Process Research, Ian brings a wide range of process expertise developed in the sugar industry.
Prior to joining TMO he was involved in the development of several major projects including the UK’s first Bioethanol plant with British Sugar.
Blayne Jackson, Head of Business Relations
Blayne has in excess of 25 years of business expertise spanning many areas of commerce including Insurance (Lloyds of London), Banking (LIFFE) and International Mobile Telecommunications.
In 2010, Blayne turned his attention to the renewable energy sector specifically focusing on business development activities for providers of Hybrid Power Systems and Mobile Pyrolysis Solutions.
As a keen innovator, Blayne has also invented two applications for mobile phones that scan ID’s or provide seamless communications as showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2010.
Dr Kirstin Eley, Head of Technical Development
A Chemistry graduate from Edinburgh University, Kirstin completed her PhD in biological chemistry at Warwick with Prof Tim Bugg followed by two years post doctoral research at Bristol with Prof Tom Simpson and Prof Russell Cox.
Joined TMO Renewables in June 2005 as part of the external research management team before becoming part of the scientific leadership team a few years later involved in several key aspects of the company’s internal and external research activities and IP management.
Kirstin is responsible for TMO’s collaborations with external parties, covering numerous research projects that form the backbone of the TMO Centre of Excellence as well as the development of new and ongoing business relationships with TMO customers and partners.
